This course is designed to equip an individual with competencies for horticulture production. It further aims at equipping the individual with competencies for the storage of various horticultural produce, processing fruits, vegetables, flowers, nuts as well as herbs and spices.

This course will focus on farming systems , the purpose of producing crops and management. There are also chapters on biological N fixation, cropping systems and practices, energy requirements of crop production, preservation and storage, branch or tiller development in crop plants, lodging and root and seedling growth.
